AGRICULTURE

The geographical features of Chile along with mild winters and hot summers, and the extensive central valley located between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, and the fertile soil have allowed for strong and efficient agricultural activity in turn to the fresh fruits and vegetables, that are harvested in the opposite season of the Northern Hemisphere (December – March).
Chile is the main exporter of tomatoes in the Southern Hemisphere with volumes exceding 120.000 tons of tomato concentrate for the principal destinations of Asia, Latin America, Europe and the United States.

The larger processing plant of tomatoes in Chile, with equipements of the last Rossi & Catelli generations of Parma Italy, with triple and quadruple effects, digital controls, sterilized packaging system FranRica, Flash Cooling, technology exclusively for Super Hot Break, Warm Break and Cold Break. Also the latest Cold Process technology for the fruit’s pulps of Bertocchi, so that the use of quality standards like HACCP are a principal part of activities for this company.
